Today on The Great White Shark Experience Podcast we have Emily and Nakia. Based in Zavora, Nakia founded Mar Expeditions as well as working for the Marine Megafauna Foundation.  Nakia is a PhD candidate studying the movement ecology of Manta Rays in Southern Africa. Emily is also a marine biologist that is currently working in the UK for Natural  England but is about to move out to Mozambique full time to work for Mar Expeditions. Today we talk about tagging Manta rays and their crazy diving experiences in Zavora.

Today on The Great White Shark Experience Podcast we have Val. Internship Coordinator for GoDive Mossel Bay Internship, In Mossel Bay, South Africa. Before joining the GoDive team Val started her journey as an Oceans Research Intern before becoming the internship coordinator for the White Shark Africa - Eco Program. Val is a passionate shark enthusiast, conservationist and is an unforgettable part of the intern experience when students visit Mossel Bay. Today we talk about how she got started, her experiences filming with Michael Phelps and her favourite shark experiences.

Today on The Great White Shark Experience Podcast we have Nico. Head  marine biologist and course instructor for the Shark Research Unit in Mossel Bay, South Africa.  Before coming to Mossel Bay, Nicos work  focused on elasmobranch species within the Isimangaliso marine protected area in Sodwana Bay.  Nico is a passionate scientist and conservationist and is actively involved with organisations such as Justice4Jaws. Today we talk about how he became obsessed with the underwater world of sharks, along with his experiences in Mossel Bay so far.

Today on The Great White Shark Experience podcast we have Lacey. Head Field Specialist for Oceans Research in Mossel Bay, South Africa,  Lacey has moved back to South Africa after finishing her masters degree in Marine Ecosystems and Society. Though she was based at the university of Miami, her research focused on the predator-prey behavioural interactions between Great White Sharks and Cape fur seals in Plettenberg Bay. Today we talk about how she became obsessed with the shark world through the legendary Chris Fallows, along with some fascinating tales of her adventures so far.

Today on The Great White Shark Experience podcast we have Lynette And Esther from Fire Island Conservation. Responsible for developing the marine protection projects and the eco retreats that help to fund them, both Lynette and Esther are passionate and practical conservationists. Today we talk about their latest project, Ilha do Fogo (island of fire) situated off the coast of Mozambique. A fascinating example of building an eco resort from the ground up, with conservation and sustainability in mind, and the many challenges they have faced along the way.  

Today on The Great White Shark Experience podcast we have Tony,  A crew member from the White Shark Africa cage diving boat in Mossel Bay South Africa. Tony is an experienced bait handler with extensive experience working with Great White Sharks and has also  worked on multiple documentaries. A true seaman that looks more at home on a boat than he does on land Tony is a huge part of the cage diving experience. Today we talk about sharks, chasing orcas and other wild adventures.

Today on The Great White Shark Experience podcast we have Justin McCarthy and Elton Polly, two of the most experienced shark boat skippers in Mossel Bay. Justin skipping research vessels for Oceans Research and Elton skipping the Cage Diving Boat for White Shark Africa. Both Justin and Elton have a worked on multiple Great White Shark documentaries for some of the biggest broadcasters. Today we talk about Shark Week, the sharks and some of the mishaps that have happened over the years.

Today on The Great White Shark Experience podcast we have Eric and Allan, two crew members from the White Shark Africa cage diving boat in Mossel Bay South Africa, both Eric and Allan are responsible for helping capture some of the most iconic great white shark shots for some of the biggest shark documentaries on tv. from Nat Geo and the BBC to the Discovery Channels, Shark Week. Today we talk about how they both got started and the ups and downs of this year along with the infamous Orcas Port and Starboard.
